  There are an estimated 500,000 words in the english language.If there is just one word to convey the mentality of my last congregation,:Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses Rockland Massachusetts.That one word would be:::: PSYCHOPATHS!!

  Sexual harassment sanctified by,'sacred service'.OR call it consecrated gossip .

  Hmmmmm,I wonder what that's suppose to mean?

  Actually,my first take was that it's a sexual connotation of some sort..... I should have known something was up when getting out to the parking lot the 'sisters' where perched and hovered, like birds of prey.

  The first thing they let me know,is," sisters rule, brothers drool ".This is followed up by,'the sister who acts like a teenager;.[viz. man eater, slut.] Letting me know she is on her period so, I can calculate when her 'horny' day will be.The boss bitch..

  The real duplicity,of wolves in sheep's clothing.. Danny's dangerous words dictionary That's right I have my own 'lexicon' on the dubs. The Watchtower is run by psychopaths [ Footnote: I worked 22 years in the heavy construction trades alongside, hardboiled construction workers including many 'bull dykes'.We all got along blissfully.What the F**K is wrong with the Jehovah's Witnesses??

  Why does the WTBTS survive?

  back in late 1973 when i got my fatal doubts about the wtbts, i was sure that the society would crumble soon after 1975 when yet another prediction failed.

  i was not alone with this thought; a british author by the name of stevenson (an exjw that had written an expose) allocated an entire chapter in his book about the likelihood that there would be a very major falling away in 1976 or soon thereafter.. but it didn't happen.

  yes, there were several years of consecutive worldwide declines.

  i find it quite interesting that, due to minimus' thread about "the end", there were a lot of comments about 1975. everybody who made comments about it here didn't seem very bothered by the fact that they had such high hopes for the year and were let down by yet another false jw prediction.

  yet the borg chastises and condemns as being arrogant those same people who may have drifted away because of it.

  to me, that says a lot about how, even subconsciously, great it must be to be out of that high control organization.

  Spring 1976 a Bethel speaker spoke at the Tampa Florida civic hall he joked," . Armageddon ain't a coming sooo,i'am a getting outa here.."

  Followed by his exortation,"One look at world conditions,and see for yourselves this worlds end is at hand.."[ hmmmmm,i've never heard that one before]

  specifically, i am interested in sociological/psychological perspectives -- anything communication related would be especially helpful (e.g.

  The first JW shackle to be shrugged off was the persistent cult induced phobia,that having 'left the truth'.I would now be easy prey for demonic assult. Rather it's scary how much devout JW's have such an inordinate spooky paranoia of the demons.I mean, don't they divine protection,their being the one true religion and all?   some have said that the end is near for the wtbs.

My estimate is that 50% of the Watchtower membership is family related.Nepotism is BIG in the JW's. I was one of the few that actually knew what the Bible really says,i had memorized over 2,000 scriptures.Most JW's DON"T know the Bible.[ And they got plenty jealous ] They exploit minorities and ignorance. Enlightened aristocrats are, as they say, "goat-like"; they're not receptive to the Kingdom Message. In the early 1960s USA about 75% of the publishers were white Anglo Saxons. Today it is about 30% Anglo Saxons, 40% African Americans and 30% Spanish. This is not a racist perspective it's the damned truth.The engine that drives a carnal cult is the 3p's:Power,Prestige,P***Y.In my 33 years they had always tried to squeeze me into that mold.I went door to door because I wanted to have a clean conscience and save lives.Most dubs that I knew were doing it for the 'other' reasons.{ I.E. a better rating in the congregation } The Watchtower is a total failure because every Jehovah's Witness WILL grow old and die.Those who have died are all still dead! "Only prisons have Watchtowers" [ I would say that the biggest problem I have of promoting my counter-cult apostate ministry is,lack of interest among the general population.My tack has always been recruitment interdiction.I am not anxious about de-converting anyone.I tell you the truth nobody wants to hear about it because 90% of the general population already knows they are bulls**t]

  The fastest growing religious sect in many countries is the Jehovah's Witnesses. This sect of Christianity has made inroads in many of the traditionally, strongly Catholic countries such as Spain, Portugal and Italy. And it is also finding converts in Japan, a predominantly Buddhist and Shinto practicing culture.

  But as the Witnesses find more followers, the group also comes under greater scrutiny and criticism. Indeed, some observers see a dangerous or dark side to many of the sect's practices.

  The Jehovah's Witnesses is one of several groups that grew out of the 19th century Adventist movement that was started by a man named William Miller. Adventists believe the second coming of Jesus is imminent.
